My vocation is Biomedicine
I started my Biology studies in 2007 at the University of Santiago de Compostela.
I finished in 2012 the Specialty of Molecular Biology and Biotechnology.
In 2009 an Erasmus grant allowed me to take an academic year at the University of Roma Tre. Thanks to this experience I was able to explore Biology from a different point of view than our country.
During the Degree I did internships in companies of different medical fields, this helped me to realize that my vocation was Biomedicine.
In 2012 I completed a Master’s Degree in Human Reproduction at the Complutense University in Madrid during which I did professional internships at the Assisted Reproduction Unit of the Vithas Nuestra Señora de Fátima Hospital. This was my first contact with a Laboratory of Assisted Reproduction and I began to develop my skills as an Embryologist thanks to the professionals responsible for the center.
This Master’s Degree allowed me to make a stay in the facilities of the Minimal Invasion Surgery Center Jesús Usón (CCMIJU).
In 2013 I was awarded a Leonardo da Vinci grant which allowed me to enter the field of Biomedical Research, collaborating with a group of the Center for Research on Chronic Diseases (CEDOC).
Months later, in Valencia, I did professional internships at the Institute of Reproductive Medicine (IMER) during 9 months. In this Center, I was able to consolidate myself as an Embryologist.
In 2014 I started to work as an Embryologist in the Clinic Zygos – Reproduction Galician Center, in Santiago de Compostela and here I was able to put into practice everything I had learned before.
In 2015 I started the Master of Health Care and Research, obtaining the following year the Specialty in Health Research.
In 2016 I joined the Professional Team of the Clinic Segrelles IVF, as Head of the Laboratory of Assisted Reproduction.
This is a professional challenge for me, which I am facing with enthusiasm and the certainty that I will continue to grow in the workplace, thanks to the great professionals I work with today.
